been keeping my eye on these for awhile. just placed my order although from what I read, the U-shaped sound is not necessarily what I'm looking for in sound profile. We'll see. Didn't bother to order the lightning cable since I already have a Dragonfly Red or will use with one of my players (AK Jr probably).

Looking at these or the Oppo PM-3. Anyone with experience with both?

these are o n ear, so they are smaller and clamp tighter... sounds i cant really say but i heard sine is slightly tighter bass.

I own the PM-3 (so I may be biased) but definitely tempted to get these just to hear the difference for myself.

The PM-3s are balanced and slightly held back on the highs (but not necessarily "veiled"). Some people may find the sound signature less than exciting but they are perfect for me. The mid vocals are smooth and seductive and when paired with the HA-2 they are match made in heaven. I kick up the bass boost or EQ up if I want a more "fun" sound. I tend to prefer flat headphones and EQ up when in the mood as opposed to try to tamp down over-emphasised aggressive highs/lows.
Larger over-ears cup would also be more comfortable and isolate sound better.

Here's a pretty good comparison of the two:

For me, it's easier to enhance flat sound signature with EQ, but fit and comfort issues, not as easy to fix if they don't work for you.

so are these really on-ear? the cups look kinda big. also the last audeze special adorama had was actually refurbished units and it didnt say that anywhere on the product page. so i would be a little weary.

I picked up a set of Fostex T50RP mk3 planars recently and have been amazed how well I like the sound signature; only complaint is in the comfort department.

Does anyone have the TX0RP mk3 and the Audeze Sine?

Which do you like the best?
