This will be $700 before taxes. Will be on sale on Costo.com July 7-31. Im planing to replace my old Lorex 8 cam 1T I got from Costco 3 years ago. Few of the cam crap out then It stop recording. So I returned it 2 weeks ago and accept it no problem. Ill be using my Chase Freedom for 5% CB.

I think this is a better deal on the 4 cam posted before. For the people who got the deal last time and installed it. Whats your comment or opinion about the set up? Thanks

Pricey and unslick? Mr. Super Pro SD member, do tell where someone can get a brand name NVR with 8 3mp cams, HDD included and Costco's ridiculous return policy, for a value so much better that it was worth your incredibly valuable time to bother adding your foundationless response.

OP, I also spotted this deal and after watching SD for a year now, I feel like this is one of the best yet. I too will be using my freedom card for the 5% to offset most of the tax. Thanks for posting.

I tried to post this deal a few days ago but slickdeals wasn't cooperating. Anyway for $200 more you get 4 more 3MP cameras and eight 100' of cable vs 60' cables in the previous deal. I've been waiting to hear back on previous purchasers of the 4 cameras package.

I got some no hard drive nvr with 720p cameras for 150. Basic math a 2tb hard drive should be close to free now a days since 5tb or 8tb is the new defacto.wNow the nvr should be about 200-500s 8channel Poe. It would take some homeworkdand hunting but forking over 700 for a lorex nah. There's only 2 or 3 Chinese players that make this hardware it's not a damn tesla. Hikvision and some other company. For 700 I'd just do a lemming jump to Costco. If the unit sucks you have the hassle free return. Lmao it's a Costco deal. Figures. I saw this in store it's okay. But I still object to spending 700

These are most likely rebranded Hikvision. Even from the shady Chinese sites, you are looking at $100+ per camera. This includes 8 plus NVR etc. so...

720p vs 3mp ... different class and different price. $700 is decent for the cameras alone, like getting NVR for free.

I dont want to buy something cheap and cant return it when time comes and I dont want to risk my family security. Better be safe than sorry.

Yeah Im still waiting for the previous people who also purchase the 4 cam package. They were also mentioning buying 2 4 cam package to get the additional 4 cams cuz the price was good that time.

Has anyone use this with Blue Iris, bypassing the NVR and just using a POE switch?
Thanks.

Got in on previous deal. This is much slicker if you want eight cameras. I have been very impressed with the quality, but a somewhat annoying issue is that the flir app for Android does not support 3mp. I had to adjust the quality down to 1080p on the entire system in order to use the app. With research, I found other reviewers complaining about the same issue. Regardless, I am still happy with my purchase and the quality I get at 1 mp.
