Starbucks to raise prices in mid-July

news4jax.com/consumer/starbucks-to-raise-prices-in-mid-july [news4jax.com]

Starbucks is hiking its prices again.

The coffee chain will start raising prices on select drinks by as much as 30 cents a beverage beginning July 12.

According to a news release, the company accidentally implemented the higher prices ahead of time, resulting in some customers being overcharged.

Starbucks said it will reimburse anyone who believes they were overcharged.

Starbucks last raised prices about a year ago.

Starbucks version: news.starbucks.com/news/starbucks-statement-on-system-error [starbucks.com]

On July 12, Starbucks is planning a small price increase on select beverages. Unfortunately, that price adjustment was prematurely entered into the point of sale systems in our U.S. company-operated stores. As a result, some customers were charged incorrectly. The maximum any customer could have been overcharged is 30 cents per beverage.

The error has been corrected and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. If a customer believes this mistake impacted the price of their beverage, we encourage them to please contact Starbucks Customer Service at 1-800-782-7282, and we will gladly make this right.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

if one were to spend 10-15 minutes of their actual time to get a 30 cent refund, perhaps they should begin rethinking their financial situations and reconsider buying Starbucks in the first place.

plus really? you're going to look like a complete tool seeking out a refund here.

well if they like it then what does it matter to you? why do you care if they're not getting "good" coffee?

ill put it to you this way. if comcast was to charge all their customers 1 dollar a month it would equate to about 30 million a month or $360 million/year.

so yes a 30 cent refund isnt worth anyone's time but if you're a corporation you can scam people out of hundreds of millions of dollars a year for doing absolutely nothing.

this increase has to do with starbucks increasing wages, firing employees, making them work less hours so they dont have to pay obamacare fees etc.

funny that the ceo is a leftists nut job. talking about how everyone should have $15 an hour. guess it's coming to bang him in the arse.

the difference here being Starbucks is requiring you to grovel for your 30 cents, where your scenario would be repaid in the form of a class action lawsuit or repaid in the form of credit.

I'm not arguing the corporation ripping us off aspect. rather the who's time is worth trying to get back that 30 cents?
