Okay vise for the home, better than anything else I have seen for the price and this equals an all time low. FS on such a heavy product is great, you have to assume it costs sears 10 bucks or so to ship this.

Regular price $109.99
Your savings - $60.00
$49.99

Vise at Sears [sears.com]
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Except that this comes with a 1 year warranty whereas the Bessey, which costs almost double, only comes with a 90 day warranty and has the same mixed reviews.

If you really want to step up in quality, get a forged steel vise instead of a cast iron vise (Yost seems to be better than Bessey). But then you will be paying hundreds of dollars for it.

The tool bags are still on sale and are great:

Or the smaller set which is also great:

However, I was unable to get the coupons to apply. But it did say I got a bonus $10 for this order and a bonus $15 to use on a future order.

Not looking to thread crap, but if you need a vice this size and/or require a vice this size, spend the extra money and get a Bessey. You won't regret it.

Good old carpenter pencil is $.99.

$5 off $50 isn't applicable to these items though, at least for me Frown

Read the reviews. Sounds like a terrible vise. I've been looking for one but not going to waste the money on this. Ashame how much craftsman has gone down hill.

Thanks op. I have had this vice for 10 years and it finally stripped out the other month. This will make a seamless transition as the holes should line up on my bench.

Added the Carpenter pencil to get 10 dollars back in rewards. With free shipping and future rewards, can't beat 40 bucks shipped!

mine has shipped. it is 41 pounds. If you can get if for $35 as noted in the post above sears has to be netting revenue of $20 bucks or so after shipping this thing. No wonder they are doing so well.

Anyway I will post my impressions when I get it, but as you know you really cannot make a conclusion for some time. The reviews are mixed, My bet is it will work well enough. If it breaks, it breaks....

Correction. I just looked at something wrong on the mobile checkout apparently. I got an additional $10.00 in rewards by adding the pencil, but it has to be used on $75.00 or more. I was going to buy it anyway for $50.00, the extra $10.00 just made it that much easier to push the button. Smilie
