Sale only shows 5 titles. Will they be adding more?

Go through the Criterion Collection under Movies & TV, click DVD or Bluray under format instead of the 50% link (that should be fixed overnight) -- there should be around 1200 total titles.

Sale last through the end of the day 8/1/2016.
There do appear to be extra discounts availalble or upcoming through various deal sites -- 15% off single item or 10-15% off total cart codes. The better codes aren't active yet.

Search "Criterion" at BN.com, limit the results to movies, and you will find many more titles. Some are still showing the regular price, but this is typical for these sales. It takes an hour or two for all the Criterion movies to adjust to the sale price.

You may be able to apply the coupon code "BNFIREWORK" for 24% off one item for the next hour or so (requires BN membership).

The BNFIREWORK code excluded all movies and it wasn't a member specific code

Irrelevant now since it's expired.

Wish it would let me do the membership trial but I'm not seeing it pop up for some reason

I used BNFIREWORK over the weekend to buy a Bluray movie, so it must have worked on some movies (it said 24% off "any one item"). I didn't try it on any Criterion movies since members could only use the coupon once. As you point out, BNFIREWORK expired during the night and the overlap with this sale was only a few hours at best. I'm sure other coupons will come along during the month, so it might be best to wait and see what comes up.

They d/c that sometime in May likely at least in part due to the abuse for people starting the trial specifically for the July and Nov sales who never converted to full membership. Even though it was supposed to be one time only there were ways to do end repeatedly

That's unexpected -- what movie did it work on? Lots of people tried since Friday on various movies (sale and no sale) and none ever worked after they changed terms at the last second before release -- it was also supposed to be a Whole Cart code that got swithced to single item at release?

Would it be worth it to pay the $25 for a membership if I plan on purchasing several titles?

For online use only not really though it does allow using single itme coupons on multiple small purchases with FS. Like with Prime it's not too hard to group orders to avoid shipping costs in general since it's still only $25.

If you shop in store then it depends on how much you plan on buying over the next 12 months -- with the 10% discount then $250 obviously is the breakeven point, but with some bonus member only discounts and coupons (sometimes an extra 5-10%) the real breakeven is probably closer to $125-150 over a year.

You have to plan more to purchases to go along with sales and coupons intervals, but overall I easily make my money back plus save 20-30% over buying the same items at Amazon even if I time every purchase at Amazon's lowest price. If you just want things now and can;t put off buying things for a few months like so many people now then it may not benefit you.

What is so special about these versions?
Btw, I'm not a fan of "special features", etc. Knowing behind the scenes things and making of's are the equivalent of someone showing me how a magic trick is done. I prefer not to know.

A bump and a discount

Typical BN rules.
One coupon per order
$25 for FS (or membership)
Codes don't work on preorders, legos, GC, etc
Codes are general B&N codes and are not specifically for Movies or Criterions

15% off 1 Item P3A3P9V (may be reusable)

5% Whole Order BNINSURE05 (preorders discount if you have at least one eligible item).

I ordered three criterion movies and the 5% code worked for me which helped with the tax. Thanks!

The BNTROPICAL code is active and works in conjunction with this sale.

20% off carts with $60 or more worth of items.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mob...id=5800001

Since this applies to the entire order, this basically means any Criterion order over $60 will come out to 60% off list price.

E.g.: http://i.imgur.com/2fSEZe5.png ($200 list price for $80 shipped)
