Is that air compressor strong enough to blow out my sprinklers (Zone by zone)?

Someone posted on home depot questions about winterizing sprinkler and mfg answered that is not an application they would recommend and could damage the sprinklers.

I could understand them saying it might not be sufficient power, bUT why would they say it could cause damage?

Liability reasons i bet. By saying they do not recommend and that it could damage it, they cannot be held responsible if someone miss uses it.

Nevermind, see that it is rated at 85 dBa which is on the very loud side of the spectrum. This may be enough for me to pass Frown

Too bad that framing nailer gets such terrible reviews. Looking to replace my aging HF special (but the thing just won't die).

I've had great luck with Hitachi framing guns. You might try https://bigskytool.com/

For sprinklers you need compressors with large tanks or very high cfm ratings. You need to keep pressure below 50psi (so this is where damage occurs if you are supplying higher) and generally need at large air volume to push out the water. Depending on how long the runs are and diameter of the lines.

I'd like to know if this can be used to winterize my sprinkler system as well. I've never done it and would like to start doing it myself instead of paying some one to do it every season.

I would do zone by zone, just not sure what specs I should be looking for when it comes to being able to use for this type of job.
