The orange one was 28 and some change two weeks back, the black one was just 30 dollars up till two days ago . Prices went up in all colors. I would wait if not in a hurry. I've been monitoring this bag for a while.

REI had it for $33 lately, for all colors. I think they came out with a new model, so they're clearing out the old ones. Might find some in store.

It's great price but 13L is a really small pack.

These are sort of modular with bigger packs where you can attach them for a little more volume and use it as a small daypack. If the price drops further I'd get one for my aether.

I have my eyes on them for a while, but not sure if they are compatible with my talon 33. Thoughts?

Yea, its small on purpose. Its a DAY pack. Like in the name, DAYlite. Lite. Light. Light weight. As opposed to a heavy bag.

It's not compatible with the talon as that series itself is a daypack but with more volume and bells/whistles. The blurb below is from osprey regarding what series daylite can attach to--

Compatibility as an attachment to several Osprey travel and backpacking bags for additional storage and carry options, the Daylite is a great bag to have around town or as a summit pack. The Daylite can be added on to the following Packs: + Aether/Ariel Series + Volt/Viva Series + Ace 75 + Shuttle Series + Sojourn Series + Farpoint 80 + Porter Series

i have this is very very light which is great. We used it as a daypack when backpacking europe. It attaches to their larger carryon bags.

Yes, it can. I have the Porter 46 and it attaches to the D-loops. I haven't used it on any travels just yet but will in the next week. It is a bit tedious attaching/detaching it from the pack but it seems to work fine.

It is a small pack but you can get a good amount into it for what it is. I like mine and am looking forward to using it more. I can fit my 13" Macbook Air in but not sure I'd try with any other non-metal body laptop. In fact, I'd probably invest in a decent [slim] sleeve for a bit more protection before slipping this into the pack.

Most of the Osprey packs are too heavy. If you are a weight conscious hiker. 1 lb is too heavy for a day pack. My Deuter Speedlites 15 is 13 oz.

Have you ever tried traveling with both bags? Im trying to think if the porter would pass as a carry on luggage, and the daylite as a smaller carry on...
