I have found that by simply using a different first name (spouse, kid, etc), you can keep getting the WSJ subscriptions. No need for "new subscriptions" only.

I ordered a subscription back a few months ago and found out subscriptions are PRINT ONLY, which is not clearly stated in the offer. Others have claimed that they did receive the digital subscription. I called customer service to complain and they told me that their WSJ subscriptions never come with digital editions, so YMMV.

Thanks, seems like a really good deal. My subscription ended a few months ago, so this works out well.

Agree with pattuspl below, "these points are worthless". Got over 200,000 just from paying my bill every month. There's rarely anything worth redeeming them on.

I've always gotten the digital subscription along with my printed subscription. In fact I noticed that when I put the printed edition on vacation hold, I continued to have access to the digital subscription--handy when you are traveling away from home on vacation.

Verizon smart rewards only started offering WSJ subs in the past year. how can you claim you've always received the digital editions? unless always means one subscription.

To clarify -- I had the regular subscription. Not the Verizon Rewards sub. So don't have any experience with the "free" Verizon sub. Sorry if I've confused this matter.

The wording on the promo reads: Print magazines are shipped to the selected address. The first issue arrives within 12 weeks.

There is no particular reference to digital access. I honestly could care less about the print version. I like to read the digital version on my phone and PC.

So what is the consensus? Is it Print only, or digital too?

Well, I too have subscribed to the non-Verizon Rewards subscription in the past and would not be mentioning this omission if there were no differences in the two types of subscriptions.

My subscription with VZW Smart Rewards, which started in March 2016, was print only.
