I can't believe this is getting down-voted. You have to remember, the previous negative reviews for the Session were based on the fact that it was the same price as the Hero 4 Silver, a better camera. Now the Session is HALF the price of the Silver, which makes it a great option for those looking to get into GoPros or who would benefit from the smaller form factor. Also, this kit for $240 is more than worth it! Some of the mounts it comes with are worth $. The remote and the SD card have value as well. (Yes, it's not the smart remote, but you don't change settings that much that you need it to be immediately available at all times - and who doesn't have their smartphone within arms reach most of the time?)

I bought the kit, plus the suction cup mount, and had it up and running on my motorcycle in minutes. It can be charged while in use, which is great (granted, with the side door open, it's not waterproof when charging, but if you're not in wet conditions, this isn't an issue).

The Session is better than the other cheap GoPro options (GoPro, GoProLCD, etc), it's form factor is great, and the fact that it rotates in the frame allows for much easier set up at different shooting configurations (you don't need the side mount to put it on your helmet, so takes up even less room and the wind-drag profile is dramatically reduced).

I really love it so far and it was definitely worth what I paid for it. Does it rival the Silver and Black in video quality and options? No. Does it pack a great camera in a small package with enough options to keep most happy for a price that you can't beat? Yes. It's honestly all that 95% of us would need in an action camera.

How is the battery life on it?

I've had mine run over two hours on a charge. I've also run it while charging on my motorcycle for extended runs (they you're just limited by your SD card, but can always bring backups).

I dig it. For $240, I don't know how you can beat the camera, plus wifi remote, plus the SD card, plus the organizer case (really nice, actually). It's basically like getting the camera for $100.

We've got to get this thread bumped up. People should know about this. It's honestly a great deal on this camera. It's not a hero 4 silver, but it's also not $400 and it comes with great accessories worth at least $125 (retail price).

Grabbed a Session last year from backcountry.com for $169 after a $30 coupon. Was nervous after reviews but I a pretty happy with the camera so far.

I've run two Tough Mudders and the battery lasted both events with me taping during the obstacles. Using 60 fps the video looked just as good as the video from my GoPro Hero3 Black. Definitely a good value at $199 level.
