It seems that reviewed model in CNET is another sub-model, which has 4GB of RAM.

Hm, perhaps I should have found a different review Big Grin

In their comparison, they also state the iPad Mini 2 has 2GB RAM (incorrect). There's a 64GB version of this tablet w/ 4GB RAM; think that reviewer mixed the specs. Thanks for the heads up Smilie

Wish I could put windows 10 on it. The Android version this comes with is too old and with no dev support its throwing your money away to buy it now.

Just a heads up... the 32gb model has a lower speed than the 64gb model, has less ram, and uses micro usb not usb-c.

Twice the RAM. 1GB on that 3840 killed what would otherwise be a decent tablet. This should perform much, much better than the 3840. Not factoring in the RAM, they are in the same ballpark.

Lesser CPU in this compared to the 7840. How much that would affect real world performance is questionable. This is the SoC in the Zenfone 2 (in the 7840), which is a rather powerful chip. The Asus tablet in question has a CPU that's not even as powerful as the one in the lower speced Zenfone 2.

Again, how much difference this makes in real world performance, I can't say. A Snapdragon 820 is far more powerful than a Snap 805. But can you tell the difference in performance? Probably not.

performance between this and venue 7840 should be very similar, you probably can't tell the difference without benchmark.

however, 7840 has a much nicer/richer screen and premium build, which is far better than asus product. Also, 7840 has a clean, vanilla-like OS and stock UI, versus asus not everyone-like ZenUI with full of bloatware...

In my opinion, this 2g asus tablet not worth $159. Maybe 4gb version does, depends on what you need for that extra 2gb RAM.
If you seek for a tablet for youtube/video watching and light gaming, I'd recommend venue 7840 for that gorgeous screen and 16:10 ratio
