I second that. I am glad that I didn't listen to the people who were bashing this scale the last time it was on sale. Maybe they just received a malfunctioning product, but the one I got has worked perfectly, not a single issue.

I have the round model that is similar to this from Etekcity and I absolutely love it.
Incredibly consistent, which is truly all that matters in terms of monitoring your weight, not necessarily initial accuracy.

I mean, if the scale reads you weighing at 190 lbs and you actually weigh 185, but you lose 3 lbs and shows you weighing 187 when in reality you now weigh 182, does it matter?
Monitoring consistency in a scale is important, not necessarily the initial amount.

With that being said, the one I have (again, the round [imo way cooler looking] version of the same brand) is amazing and actually is really accurate. It reads the exact same weight as the scale at my gym, so no complaints at all.

'Eff all the naysayers. These are nice scales at a really great price.

I have this exact scale as well. I wouldn't call it consistent at all, but you can get the desired results with a couple tries. I have tile in my bathroom, and the scale needs to sit on a single tile between all the grout lines. If the scale is over the line, the weight will be off. and its nearly a 3 pound difference at times, pretty huge. I also find when its been off for a while, the first step on is heavier by about a pound to subsequent tries. But once that 1st weighing is done, the rest are spot on.

I wouldnt recommend it to anyone, but I wouldn't throw it away either, since I know how to use it. Hopefully they ironed out the issues.

I think for this type of scale you're supposed to step on it and get off to zero it out first before you actually weigh something, every time.

That's called a tare. It's actually removing the weight of the glass on top of the scale because it has weight.
Mine (again, the rounded and slightly different version) has a 4.4 lb tare that every now and again it seems to do and it's not on a consistent basis. Why/when it decides to do it is beyond me. It kind of freaks me out every now and again if I forget about it. But if your weight is about 4.4 lbs higher than you assume it's going to be...then step off, let it zero, step back on, and you're golden.

All of the amazon pictures of shattered glass from the scale scare me.

Im generally a careful guy but i think the durability needs to increase before i bite.

Or you can get Google fit and update your weight manually and it'll keep it stored.
