Was about to make a post and saw yours. I'm really interested in the 29". It's more than enough real estate for me and an upgrade. Great price with Free Sync. You neglected to mention that it's $279.99 AFTER a $20 rebate though.

This 29 for $279 appears to have the same specs and resolution as the 29 best buy had $200, why pay $80 more, what is difference between the two. Thanks

Freesync can be a big deal if you game and know what it is. I have a non freesync LG and game just fine with a GTX 980. I don't think most people will care tbh though.

picked up the older model 29'' two days ago for 200$ at best buy and I love it. mine doesn't have free sync but that's pretty much the only difference. using it for work with laptop. had to download a open source hack to make ati laptop card output correct resolution. love the split screen software. wouldn't mind 34'' but didn't want to spend 100 more.

I have 2 of the older models that best buy had for 200 last week. I put them on a vertical mount stand and it gave me a glorious boost in productivity. Also a decent monitor for light gaming. I paid around 280 for the first one I bought, but that was with 4 yr geek squad protection.
