Seems like a really good deal, but I feel like I might see a better deal if I wait. Has anyone seen this speaker for less? I'm currently using the 305s, but want to eventually get the 308s. So tempting. TU regardless.

The reviews I read for the 305's like them better than the 308s. The size room you're in would make a difference, but several of the 308 reviews said it had more bass but it was less controlled and that there was more cabinet resonance cause of the larger box with no bracing. So, a bit boomy, less clear. I bet adding a sub would sound better than upgrading to the 308s in most cases.

That is a crazy good deal on these. Sadly they're not the 305's, the 308's are just too large for my desk and apparantly do not sound as good.

edit:
here is noaudiophile's review on the LSR308 http://noaudiophile.com/JBL_LSR308/

Thanks for the input. I think I will wait for the LSR310s to go on sale.

I have the LSR308's. I passed on the LSR305's because they didn't have the kick I needed and I didn't want to buy a separate sub. I did a A/B at GC when I bought them and played over 40 songs before buying.

Would go with LSR308 everytime, but they are pretty damn big as people stated.
This is a insanely good price. I paid $450 + tax for a pair last year with a price match, down from $500 a pair.

Got a pair. Time to return the 305 I just bought. This will pair newly with the 310 sub. Thanks OP.
