The Gunsite Academy 250 Defensive Pistol Course is known as “The Gunsite Experience”. First presented 40 years ago, in 1976, by Col. Jeff Cooper, Graduates will be well-grounded in the Modern Technique of the Pistol.

The Crimson Trace Gunsite 250 Pistol Course covers the complete 250 doctrine, while adding in the practical use of laser sights.

One lucky winner (and guest of their choice) will receive airfare, lodging, course registration fees, laser sights and ammunition packages*. The course is scheduled for October 17-21, 2016.

I wouldn't hazard to guess how you could take a gun with you somewhere...probably a huge hassle.

You can fly with an unloaded gun. It's in your checked luggage and must be declared.

Was reading it must be a locked case...but previously read none of your checked luggage can ever be locked anymore. TSA needs to be able to hand inspect it if they choose to do so. Either something has changed or their are contradicting rules. Never had a good reason to take my weapons on trips before anyway. laugh out loud

I think a firearm is one of the few exceptions to the locked case rule. I have never done it, but know several people that do and it usually isn't a major issue.

One can potentially ship their firearm to/from an FFL dealer instead of traveling with it ( I am guessing Gunsite knows how best to assist a contest winner, they deal with this all the time).

Not a big deal concerning air travel with a handgun. Just know and follow the laws/rules. Happens hundreds of times every day in the U.S....Big Grin
