the sad thing is... $400 for a 25,000 BTU unit is a solid price. but the OP voided any chance of this thread becoming successful. perhaps i should re-post ? lol

Its going to be a 5000 unit. If its 25000 and can only cool a 150ft room thats so pitiful and this truly is a mistake for the cost in the wrong direction.

P.S. always avoid saying p r i c e m i s t a k e. I am scared to say it with spaces. its seriously a phrase never to be uttered here unless its true. even if I had one I would not say it because screw those idiots who get so mad over a post. I hope they miss out on every awesome future deal because of the way they are that no one uses those words again.

The reviews actually say that they are using this unit to cool 1000+ sq ft. It is probably the 5k that is a typo. I would consider this if I hadn't already gotten 2 8k BTU units from Staples for $55 each Smilie (FYI already dead and discontinued from Staples website)

Here are the quotes from the reviews:
"I have a Doublewide and its 1600 sq ft. It keeps it cool in the Florida summer. "
"This unit cools 1500 sq ft of my 2150 sq ft home without any problems. "

and ROFL:
It also weighs 155 pounds and is awkward to carry

Also a BIG FYI: It's 240v
