Posting from mobile, so bear with me. Amazon is offering a $50 instant rebate for the purchase of any new Motorola Moto G4. I think this is better than the Best Buy and B&H deal because I am not forced to spend $50 at stores I do not shop at.

I just did my research and placed in a ticket with R+ and the Support Tech confirmed that the SIMGLW446C sim card will work with the new Moto G4 and G4 Plus. If you got the Play it might not work for it.

"Hi,

Thank you for contacting RingPlus support. The sim card needed for both the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus is the Sprint sim card model SIMGLW446C.

If you need further assistance with this issue please reply to the ticket if not you can close it out.
If this has resolved your request, please change the status of this ticket to Closed. A screenshot with instructions is posted below.

Thank you."

Double the storage and double the RAM on this deal for $250 and no ads and fingerprint sensor with better camera, that's the only difference. As far as the storage goes you can add a 32GB micro sd for $10 and you could have 64GB on your 32GB Moto G since you can format a micro sd for internal storage so it comes down to the 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor and better camera really, you gotta ask yourself is that worth the extra coin?

How does this compare with Moto X Pure or Nexus 5x?

Don't get a nexus 5x its a horrible phone. I bought it and regret it. I wish I could get rid of it and get a different one but looks like now I'm stuck with it. Whatever you do. Do not get a nexus 5x. Horrible battery life, horrible performance.

This walks all over the Nexus 5X in my opinion and has more RAM and 2 more cores than the Moto X Pure but less screen resolution so it depends on what you're going for.

Amazon had a deal on 32GB moto G (4th edition) with ADS (which gave 25 bucks discount) a few days back. For prime members, it came to 155 + tax. I have pre-ordered that phone. The link to that deal is : http://slickdeals.net/f/8881879-prime-members-unlocked-smartphones-w-ads-blu-r1-hd-from-50-moto-g-4th-gen-from-125-more-free-s-h

Would someone more knowledgeable give their inputs on whether the current deal 64BG pLUS version, without ads, at 250 + tax is worth the extra 95 bucks or so?

agree 100%. the performance was horrible. I sold it even though I got back only 50% of what I paid for it because I couldn't take it anymore. And I'm so happy I did. Im definitely thinking of getting this instead

Moto x pure edition is better. 5x is a plastic phone and feels cheap.

Sale tax kill this deal for me. B&H is better. $50 gift card no sales tax you can use the gift card on the future phone that you buy from them.

This phone has already released in some other countries and reviews seems not so great. Mostly premature issues, so I guess, the phone is set to release in the US after test runs in those countries. Just wondering if that's the case with this.

I already pre-ordered the G4 (with ads) posted a few days back.

Pre-ordered this one too (=G4 pro), will return/cancel the G4.

Since this is a new phone, I expect its price to reduce quickly. Hoping that credit card price protection can help get the difference.
