Hmmm. This looks decent...I'm confused by Woot though. It's a new TV but only has 180 day warranty? Never bought from woot before, should I be hesitant?

Odd, no warranty from Vizio even though the item is new. Woot will offer a 180 warranty. I say pass unless you can get a third party warranty. A warranty is a just for Vizio tvs. Good deal IMHO

The refresh rate on the 55" 4k is 60hz not to be confused by their "effective refresh rate" mumbo jumbo that they use (like every company uses some other wording). Only the 60"+ M-serie models are actually 120hz.

Ugh. That's so aggravating!

Warranty Note: These brand new units have been liquidated by VIZIO at a super low price that we are passing on to YOU! VIZIO could not include the warranty at this special price so Woot is kicking in a 180 day warranty!

180 day warranty from woot, with no chance to purchase extended warranty. No thanks.

Lots of info about the 2015 Vizio M-Series:

I've owned it for a little over a month. Great picture if the source is good.

Refresh rate is only 60hz, not 120hz. I have the same TV.

No, it's TN. I think only the 50" and below Vizio are IPS.

For a split second I thought this was a racist comment, which made no sense.

Then I realized how you are probably referring to how IPS pixels are always backlit, making it impossible to show true black.

The 55" is a VA panel, not IPS. Great black levels at the expense of viewing angle.
