Looks like mixed reviews on Amazon [amazon.com]. Doesnt seem like too popular of an item.

You are lucky it is exactly what you were looking for. All four of your posts were exactly 4, 2 NuTrend products. I hope you enjoy it.

I decided to pass after reading the Amazon reviews.

Doesn't appear to have many Amazon reviews. However, that guy trying to run a compressor off of it, that could blow plenty of inverters so I'll have to take that with a grain of salt. A compressor would have a extremely large start up wattage, perhaps three times more than the wattage the compressor is rated at! Duh

Another guy complains that it doesn't just turn itself on whenever power is connected. That's a safety feature dude. Most people want the option to have it connected and off.

For $30,it's probably worth a shot with the digital display. I have one of their battery chargers and outside the fact that the cooling fan is starting to squawk a little, i have no complaints. I'll hold on to my non-display 400 as a bkup.

A couple guys who say they had trouble with speakers and blenders aren't going to dissuade me. Also, it's only $30. So how about review it based on the price. For this price you're only going to get 100W-300W inverters anyway. So if it works half the rating, it's reasonable.

Anyone receive this yet? Looks like it's finally shipping. Seller gets mixed reviews, not encouraged by that.

finally arrived yesterday. 1st time connected it to car cigarette outlet, the fuse in this inverter connecter blown. Connected directly to car battery, as advised in the manual, Clamped red first, then black, with some scary flash. Now the inverter can be turned on, but soon ac drop and show bAd. According to manual, on n off the inverter multi times, occasionally ac can be stable at 120, but when connect some load, like a 60w light bulb, bAd shown right away. While connected an about 8w led light bulb, some times the bulb can be constantly on as normal, but most of time it just blinking, or bAd. Also tried an 30w/130w solder iron, some times worked ok at 30w, but in 130w mode, always bAd.
Tried on another car, every time connect, there is only much larger scary flash, the inverter never turned on. Back to the 1st car, can be on again, but with same problem as above.
It may be random deffect, but from comments here, i would advise to keep away from this inverter. Hope to hear from others' comments who got this.
Contact Nutrend from NEWEGG order page asked for return/refund.
BTW, the power consumption always display 0W in all circumstance.
