Hey all,

Pretty decent deal for movie goers where every bit helps. I like Fandango navigation more, but the deal is pretty good.

Costco renewed their instant rebate for Movietickets.com selling $100 gift cards for $75 in store and online [costco.com].

NON-COSTCO MEMBERS can purchase Costco Cash cards and use them to purchase.

AMC Stubs members still get waived service fees. There is another thread going on with a deal for that also. Highly suggest it

Chase Freedom users also get an extra 5% cashback as part of the quarterly rewards nabbing another $3.75 back.

If you don't have a Chase Freedom card, you should take a look at it here [chase.com].
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I couldn't find a place to enter my amc stubs member number. So I called and was told they no longer waive online convenience fee at request of AMC. So no deal here.

Nice deal, but to use at our favorite theater movietickets.com charges a $2.00 convenience fee per ticket, which kills the deal.

How much convenience fee does this website charge? Is it same as or more expensive than fandango?

At my local AMC, Fandango charges $1.35, and movietickets charges $1.50.

I just checked, and I still can use Stubs number to waive fees. It is located between the Total and Promo Code/Gift Card fields.

no AMC stubs makes this deal worthless for me since I go during matinee ($6.49) which makes it 23% more expensive with the $1.50 fee which negates the deal entirely

I just used a gift card less than a month ago and was able to use my stubs card. Now, they've removed the discount with stubs. Pretty shady of them, will never buy another gift card from movietickets.com again!

Update:
I sent a big "FU" message to movietickets.com customer service for pulling this stunt. I also complained to Costco about these movietickets.com gift cards (that I would not have bought if AMC Stubs didn't provide convenience fee discount). Hopefully, if enough people act we can make these scammers change their policy back.

Another Update:

Looks like they will bring it back, that this is a misunderstanding. Message from CS below:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Movietickets.com. MovieTickets.com and AMC are implementing some system improvements, and AMC Stubs program is temporarily unavailable at this time. In order to ensure that your AMC Stubs points are applied, please contact AMC Customer Service at https://www.amctheatres.com/contact/amc-stubs. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve our service and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Why is this gettin down voted?

I bought tickets last week and had no problem getting the AMC Stubs discount to work.

I find it really stupid that I have to enter the number in every time I place and order though. Fandango remembers the AMC number but movietickets does not.

How do I post a screenshot because I am looking at my screen and it shows the AMC discount page.

I didn't know that was against the rules?

There is a few threads on Chase cards going around and there are referral links there also?

Unlike Fandango, the movietickets.com does not save your AMC stubs number and you have to input it for EVERY transaction. A bit of a pain for sure, but the small things to save a few bucks.

Feel your pain. There is a Regal cinema 5 miles away from the AMC I usually go to with much nicer facilities. Someone else mentioned the Regal card waives the fee but I haven't signed up for that rewards program yet so I don't know the detailed.

Are you sure? Check again because my AMC Stubs card works.

How does the Regal card work? I'm interested because I buy a large popcorn and and large drink everytime. I like AMC Stubs, but haven't really researched Regal Crown Club
