46 lumens? thats weak
I understand the concerns on low lumens, but for a "spy" gift for a 5 year old, this is great! TU OP!
I like the look of it because it looks like it could double as a video game controller.

May be a good price compared to other sellers, but why would you want such a low powered light? 46 lumens is terrible when you can buy one with 5000 lumens for >$30.

I just received one I got for 5.99 shipped. Pretty nice, also comes with batteries which is a bonus.

I bought the same one at Walmart last year for $12.99 and it's a fantastic headlamp. My favorite for camping and projects in the garage.

I would spend more money. You get what you pay for; 46 lumins. A candle produces 12.5 lumens. This headlamp is equivalent to 4 candles.

How realistic are lumen ratings on headlamps? I see a lot of similarly priced headlamps shipping from china claiming 3000 lumens, but I'm wondering if this would actually turn out to be brighter at the end of the day

I see your point. How can consumers trust the standards coming from China?

Sweet! I use (and lose/break) these all the time while fishing. The red light option is useful to me, and not so easy to find on cheap ones. And regarding lumen rating - once your eyes adjust to the dark, you don't need a lot of light to pick tackle or tie knots (which you should be able to do in the dark, anyway), so a lower minimum light throws you off less once you click it off.
