Could someone who knows about tv's tell me if this is a good upgrade?

Currently, I own this television set: https://amzn.com/B004HYG9SM

I want to upgrade to this television set: https://amzn.com/B00UB9UJBA

Is it worth the cost of the newer television to upgrade? Will there be a huge upgrade, or noticeable difference? The newer set is LED. Currently, I only have LCD. i don't care about the fact that it has a Roku built in. I only care about picture quality, sound quality, etc.

Links are broken so I cant see the specs. Unless your upgrading from a 720P 10 year old tv to a brand new 4k tv I don't think there will be a huge difference. I would say read reviews on the new one from a more professional review website not just amazon comments.

i added longer links in wiki, i think the OP's links are correct, it's Slickdeals' fault.

maybe not an upgrade, i don't know how to find panel info.
reviews said it's not a wide angle panel. so if the SONY is good at off angle, maybe a downgrade. LED is nothing for low end.

I don't think there will be much noticeable difference between those two panels. 32" is pretty small, perhaps an upgrade to 40" will help? Also, a 40" LCD will usually be very slim and easy to install in place of the 32" TV.

No, you're basically buying the same TV with some slightly upgraded tech. Either go bigger or up your resolution. If you want a smart TV buy an external box.

Sony is way better than TCL. Don't do it.
