Does your kids ever bring home something where you can see the market on the back of the paper? Sharpe soaks through regular paper even faster, and it's permanent on the underlying surface it soaked through on. I'm pretty sure I can speak for all teachers that we'd much rather you send in some kind of non permanent and keep the shapes for awesome home use. I love Sharpies and picked up a set of each here for me and my own sixth grader, but not good for classroom use unless the teacher asks for then for some reason.

I would have heart failure if one of my students brought Sharpies as their regular markers, though I have a set in the room for special projects. You might want to check before you send them in. :-)

Sharpies are like USB thumb drives, they seem to walk away from your desk and you can never find one when you need it. In for one.

Nice deal. It's nice to have that many backups when your sharpies inevitably get stolen

I have a fifth grader that has a box of markers on her list. These wouldn't be good?

these are too light on ink quantity in recent years. for school the larger cheap markers last longer and clean up easier. these sharpies are great for certain higher quality needs, but not my kids' daily school supplies, for those wondering

we've been finding all the nicer markers have been shorting the ink supplies in their markers like it cost $1000/gal
