Thinking hard about this one, I need something small and no-frills for my condo and this seems to work. Thoughts? Will Sears remove my old fridge for free?

nice looking. got for rental.
sears may charge $25 to remove old fridg.
your local electric company offers rebates for recycling old appliances and for purchasing new energy efficient ones.
in chicago i got and extra $50 for each. so that can knock an extra $100 off this price

Yeah my energy company has something like that too. Does the refrigerator being removed have to be documented or did you get a rebate just for buying an energy efficient model?

I bought this fridge in black about a year or so ago. it works great, no issues so far. I would definitely recommend it if it fits your needs.

I don't know about sears, but if it still works it should be easy to get someone to haul it away for free. Call a used appliance store, or post on craigslist.

For my utility company in Ohio, I received a rebate from the utility company for purchasing an Energy Star refrigerator. They also have another $25 (might have been $50?) if you called and scheduled them to come pick the old one up.

Looks good, but after a $750 MSRP and $100 for an ice maker doesn't seem like that good of a deal to me:

any good deals on a side by side?

I bought this model a few months ago for around this price. It's pretty quite and seems efficient. I don't have room for a side-by-side model and probably would have preferred a counter depth model to this one, but it does make the most of space I have. Overall, I recommend it.

Take note that the sides are gray painted metal and not stainless. It's kind of a bummer, but not that unusual it seems.

This is not Energy star rated, will buying a energy star refrigerator make significant difference compared to this in utility bill?

No ice maker? No ice dispenser? No water filtration? The bottom freezer is not a pullout, read the reviews? You have to open the bottom door then pullout the drawer? WTF?

I see fridges all the time at Lowes / Depot for $700ish that have icemakers and dispensers. I mean really in 2016, you want a fridge without an icemaker? Or a water filter? Screw that noise.

Unless you live in a tiny apartment and can't run a water line to the fridge anyway.. keep looking. And if you do... there are some $300-400 options for tiny fridges with tiny freezers and no ice makers.

Edit - 10 seconds on Lowes site and I found this one for $750, bigger, and with an ice maker, water filter, and dispenser.

Heres one for $566 without such fancy "bells and whistles"

moved to a 2 bedroom condo and the fridge currently have is a standard size one like the one in apartments and need a new bigger one like the shown in post. We have a child and the one we have now is always packed. I would like one that makes ice? I think it will have something like ice maker on the outside and lots of spaces inside to store produces, meats, frozen foods, milk gallons, waters and left over foods, etc.

Please help what is a good one. Thanks

Do NOT buy Kenmore. They absolutely suck. Their quality is not what they used to be a decade ago. I renovated my kitchen 2 years ago and bought all Kenmore Elite appliances, and they are junk.

Kenmore doesn't make any of their appliances, it's all rebrands...So, the reliability depends on who actually makes it. Pretty happy with my Kenmore (LG) washer/dryer set.
