Best time to buy King Salmon at Costco?

skyb 3 10 July 10, 2016 at 09:53 AM
We freeze salmon for the winter. Costco has wild King (Chinook) Salmon for $14.99 a pound. I've never bought salmon at Costco before. Is this the best time to stock up, or does Costco usually have better prices later in the summer?

When do they have this? I always buy their sockeye in the precut and frozen packs. I frequently look for king salmon but haven't ever seen it. Is it fresh or in the frozen section?

Oh they have it now? Let me know where and I will check it out Smilie

My main complaint about the sockeye is that it usually seems to be a cut closer to the tail, not a thick cut if ya know what I mean.
