This isn't the lowest price it's ever been, but it's close. $3.27 for a high quality daylight led bulb is pretty good!

I have these all in my house. Replaced the ugly yellow ones the builder put in for these brighter bulbs that really help with the electricity bill. (Well, other than summer when my a/c costs nearly as much as groceries...)

To each their own, but personally I find bulbs above 3K to have a very hospital-light feel to them... cold and sterile feeling. 2700K is my personal favorite, luckily Costco sells mostly that.

I like a whiter light myself but can live with the yellowish light if that's all they have as it's what I was used to before the CFL bulbs came along then they started offering color ranges. Power company here had a free deal where they'd send you free led lights, low flow shower heads etc. It was based on size of your house and we got 8 bulbs but have about that many more in service so always looking for more. They are sorta yellow, might have been 3k. Think I'll check these out and decide if I should order some. Everything else is CFL so these light up faster and save a tiny bit more juice. Thanks for the infoCool
Ok decided to order and we'll see how they are in a few days what with Prime and all.

They have the soft white version too for about a buck more for those that like the traditional color everyone is used to.

I agree. Great for the garage too. As for bedrooms and other "comfy" places I prefer something a bit warmer.

Well, I have to say the daylight ones are straight up white and very bright. Everything else here is some form of soft white. I think the whitest ones may be 3500k
Do have ONE CFL that is 5k in a lamp and it's pretty white too but that color was pretty rare back when we found it on closeout at Home Depot.
It does make it really brighten up the computer room and hallway that was always dim and dingy with the single CFL in a globe fixture on the ceiling.
But now so far I have to agree, for some cozy areas it's pretty intense white but makes it easier to see things.
Ordered 16 more Philips versions on Prime day for same price so will be interesting to see what color they actually put out when they get here and we can move em around with each other till we hit what works best for each area.
Will also be interesting to see if it drops my electric bill a significant amount compared to the CFLs that are mostly here now.
