Pretty awesome deal actually. Too bad I don't need one!

FWIW it's rated for 800W peak and includes a USB port.

Got PID-760 some days ago at 30usd. Why I can't find the 760 slickdeal link now?

Here you go (that deal was better, IMHO)
Interestingly, the PID-410 model got better rating on Amazon compared to PID-760 but the total number of reviews (and their quality) do not provide conclusive verdict.

can I just plug this to cigarette plug inside the car if I have the cabling?

Probably NOT. You would be drawing 410w/12v amps (>10 amps), double that on peaks. You would probably melt the cigarette lighter fixture.

I used my 400/800 thru cig lighter in my Prius last week when power was out for two days. couple LED lights, small 27" TV, and an 18" fan on med. worked great and the Prius only started for about 90-120 seconds every half hour or so to charge the traction battery. my calculations out it at about 3oz of fuel per hour.

If 27" led tv, you were maybe pulling 200 watts total.

Still waiting on the 760 from last week, $30. That one had some odd reviews from people who didn't seem to know what they were talking about.

Still, if you need a 400 this seems like an ok deal. I like the battery charger they make. Not going to find much around this price point with a screen.

Up to 100W, unless otherwise specified in the user manual. Above that - use clamps directly connected to the battery

I've been there, it's amazing how nice 300 watts is.......when tbe alternative is nothing. Now I'm moving up to, hopefully 600.

Is there anything special about this particular inverter?

I know what inverters do, I used to have an 800/1600W one in my last car, but I'm just wondering if there is anything that makes this one special.

Never thought of using a Prius as a generator... that makes me kinda want one lol

I assume the traction battery is a hybrid thing and that normal ol' Ranger would suit as well as a generator?
