Quick question, I am deciding between this or the

HP ProBook 455 15.6" Notebook-AMD A10-8700P-16GB RAM-1TB HDD-Win10- DVDRW

For 350

Which just made it to the front page, is one or the other a lot "stronger" speed wise? I am looking for one for school and various programs. Thanks.

Does something like this come with a quad core cpu and better graphics?

Looks nice but this 3 star review by Thesixpointnine is a deal breaker:

"This computer is so far good, there few problems like heat out too early and others"

Smilie)))))))))))

I have a Costco citi visa and it comes with a 24 month extended warranty. Thought about using Amex. But with a $25 trade off, I can get an extra year of warranty with the Costco Visa. So I used my costco visa instead. Still a great deal at the end!

Amex also typically doubles the manufacturers warranty.

Addressing only the extended warranty lengths:

More accurately, AMEX *matches* the manufacturer warranty but only up to 1 year, taking over after the manufacturer warranty ends. After the manufacturer warranty ends, AMEX [americanexpress.com] adds extra warranty equal to the manufacturer length if manufacturer warranty was less than 1 year, or, if the manufacturer warranty was between 1 and 5 years, 1 extra year (for a maximum of 6 full years of combined warranty coverage).

The (Costco only?) Citi Visa extended warranty terms is in the Benefits Guide [citi.com], page 7-8. It is a straightforward 2 years extra warranty added to the end of the manufacturer warranty, so that the combined warranty period is 84 months (7 full years) or less. (Also, Citi Visa terms allow for purchasing additional extended warranty, and the Citi Visa extended warranty kicks in at the end of the purchased extended warranty (manufacturer, then purchased extended, then Citi Visa extended, up to 7 full years warranty coverage). I think the Citi Visa extended warranty length terms apply to all Citi Visa cards with this benefit, since the Hilton Citi Visa Benefits Guide say the same thing.

If a purchase had only 6 months manufacturer warranty, AMEX would only add 6 more months, for a total of 12 months. (Costco) Citi Visa adds 24 months, for a total of 30 months, and this was copied directly from the Benefits Guide.
