You can get very good Milanese from MoKo or JEtech on Amazon for around $15 everyday. What's the point of this Groupon? You are not.buying genuine Apple no matter what.

Is this genuine apple band? Says the original price is 149.

It's not genuine Apple. If you read the Q&A on the page it says it's not.

No, this is not a genuine Apple band.

MSRP, as defined, is set by the manufacturer. Just because they say it's worth $149 doesn't mean it's worth $149 to the average customer. I can take two minutes, slop some paint on a chopstick, and call it a orchestral conductor's wand and that it's worth $149. It doesn't make it worth $149.

We now know that the manufacturing process in China allows distributors to buy third party Milanese loop knock-offs at $3/band if purchased in bulk. These distributors can sell the bands for $8 on eBay, offer free shipping, and still make a profit.

So if you're paying from the same band, the only benefit of buying from Groupon would be that you have a US based company that you can take to court or file a complaint against if something goes wrong. To some, that may be worth the difference between $8 and $25.

Very good even compared to OEM stuff?

My wife got one from Amazon (I don't believe it was either of the bands you mentioned, so I'll look into those), but it was super cheap feeling (very lightweight). Also, I'm not sure if this is the case with all third-party (non-licensed) Apple Watch bands, but they didn't latch into the watch and slid out very easily.

I can't speak from personal experience since I don't have one, but I've considered buying one so I've read up on it. I'v read reviews from people who have bought these bands (on other forums) and they've all had good things to say about the Milanese from these 2 brands, and watch accessories from these 2 brands in general.

It looks like the 38mm silver milanese from MoKo is only $9.99, so that's worth a try.
If it doesn't latch properly I can always return it for being defective and get fully refunded...

I ordered the Moko silver in 42mm. Feels great no specific area to only latch to. I actually walked into the Apple Store to try on the $150 band but they didn't have any testers out on display and didn't feel like having the employee shoot through hoops to go get one in the back but him looking at my band on he said it looks just like the oem one.

My gf ordered the groupon one and it does feel flimsy compared to mine. I'm not sure if it's because of the 38mm size but the Moko does not disappoint. Me being impatient I ordered the Moko silver for 16.95 and got the one day shipping came out to $26 or $27.
