would be a good beater but with a 5400 rpm drive and a screen resolution from 2001, I'll probably pass

Upgrade the HDD to a 7200 or a SSD, pop the 1TB in an external enclosure.

That is so true. I was actually reading an article about these type of nonsense configuration with 720p resolution. Why waste resources on that lol.

Killer deal, cheapest 16GB PC i have over seen. Official partner, brand new with warranty. This is not some used crap sold under a "seller reffurb" brand.

Man the screen really kills this. I was looking for a cheap laptop for my wife to use exclusively to pay bills on, but the resolution....

What intel processor equivalent compares with AMD A-Series A10-8700P Quad-core (4 Core) 1.80 GHz? 6th gen I5? or older?

It's a 15.6 inch screen, not a 60 inch screen, who cares if it's resolution isn't super HD? I do Microsoft Office stuff, Acrobat Pro, calendar, email, internet and play old games - what's not to like? With my eyesight I don't need to be able to display 4 point font clearly, because I wouldn't be able to read it anyway. I'm in for one - I also like the 4 USBs - I tend to be rough on USB ports. Merci!

According to BigBoyMarky on another thread:

About the same as the i5-5200u according to http://www.notebookcheck.net/Carr...654.0.html

Video decoding is better though and will playback video files and stream better than the 5200u

Also the APU is better than the 5200u's HD 5500 iGPU so better gaming performance

Doesn't your bank have an free app for a cell phone to do that? Why do you need a high resolution screen for just paying bills? That sounds silly to me?
