Does anyone have any experience with this model? At $150 less than the 830, seems like the way to go. Been waiting on a deal on a 50-55" Sony 4K.

VA panel (vs.IPS for X830C), no 60HZ 4:4:4, otherwise specs-wise on par with X810C series. This X800C series is apparently sold in Latin American countries as Sony's low end model.

Thank you! Seems that the 60HZ 4:4:4 is mainly an advantage when trying to use the TV as a monitor, correct? Would I lose out on any other standard use? I have never had an HDTV that is not a Sony and I have never been anything but happy with them, just curious with this lower price, as well as it not having much info out there on it.

Thanks!

4:4:4 is good for UHD Blu-ray as well as monitor usage. For regular HD or gaming, 4:2:0 is adequate for most people.

I bought the x810c 55" and it is awesome... Nothing beats 120hz...

How does that help here? Shouldn't this be better with the respective refresh rate? I'm not sure cause this one is listed with a Refresh Rate240Hz .

Do both the 810C and 830C have this feature? Thanks, as I do not know much about this at all! Just looking for the best bang for my buck in the 4K world!

Both the X810C and X830C series are 60Hz 4:4:4. Both sizes of X830C (43" & 49") are IPS panels (and no PWM dimming). The 55" X810C is VA while the 65" is IPS. The X830C series seems to be discontinued at most retailers, so if you're interested in it you should move on it soon.

Edit: Sony's new models X800D and X700D series are the 2016 versions for the 43-49" sizes, but there's very little information on them. Prices seem to be in the same range though.

I'll be grabbing an X800D as long as it continues to look like a good buy and does true HDR. It and a couple other new models are listed on BB's website as coming soon. I've read it'll probably be next month.

From the specs, it seems this not a true 240 Hz display. If last years marketing terms are still accurate, then this uses Motionflow 240, which is a 60 Hz panel with software emulating the 240 effect

Do you have source to that? If you do, can you share please? I can't find anything stating it's 120 Hz. Thanks
