Found this interesting, but not sure if it is worth. I don't know anything about the world of Roomba's. Is this a good deal?

Good deal for an "updated" base model!! They improved the battery tremendously with the lith ion version (3-4x's more charge cycles then the Ni-Mh Batt)... Plus the cleaning bin & filter have been updated as well. There are NO virtual walls or scheduling abilities with this "base" unit, However, for only $249, this is a very solid deal! this does have the older "brush style rollers" that require a decent amount a maintenance especially if you have lots of pet hair. You will need to cut/pull out the hairs from the roller brushes periodically. Worth a try if you have never tried a Roomba at this price!

There were so many of these left, and now all of a sudden they vanished off of the website as sold out...Does anyone know what happened?

Thanks!

I'm curious too. But it looks like the 650 is now down to $319 from $379(?).

Is that a good price for a roomba? I'm new to the roomba game. I also have the amazon credit card which would drop it to 290.

You may still be able to get it for the Prime Day price $249.99 locally via the PrimeNow App!

I originally had it in my Amazon cart but when I went to check out, it had sold out. I quickly went to PrimeNow and found it for the Prime Day price of $249.99, I ordered it and voila it was delivered an hour and 46 minutes later! If you still want it, try PrimeNow. I just checked my PrimeNow and it still shows at $249.99 as of 3:40pm ET.

Not really... not for an older 650..... I bought a 860 a few weeks ago for less then $300 when it was on sale and cash back.. the 860 ir light years better in every way then the "old" 650.... i am just just posting this so you have some perspective....

How so? This one has the new battery like the others. Sure it doesn't have scheduling etc, but how is it light years better?

2 things easily make it much better,,,,

1) It has brush less rollers.... The was a biggie for Irobot, as the other rollers on all the other series are a pain in the A$$, as you are always cutting out all the hair that that is stuck around them, especially if you have a pet.. So basically very little maintenance on the 860//

2) The vacuum is 3X stronger then the 6 series... I at first did not think this was legit, but when I used it, i could see just how much more it picked up in the larger dust bin.. also, it is a bit quieter but most are not concerned with that..

The battery and dust bin size were big upgrades but they included/upgraded those in the 614 already.. hope that helps!
