Well - as a modem/router combo - this is not a bad price. The only thing that is a niggle is that the channel bonding on the modem is limited to 8x4 - which is sufficient but for a a standalone modem - I would look for 16x4 minimum for future-proofing. But otherwise - a good price.

Any SD users have this and care to comment? I am thinking about getting one myself. Currently being charged $10 a month and this should pay for itself within 10 months.

Thank you, I came up with pretty much the same info on google. I appreciate the response! For me it may work out since I only plan on getting 100MBps, and I don't think I could get anything cheaper. Also seems to have a decent web interface for the router side.

I own SBG6700AC and It's been working great so far. Absolutely no issues with Comcast Blast Plan which is 75MB/s.

I have Xfinity with voice, so I need the phone ports. Otherwise I'd jump on this. Thumbs up

Make me wonder how good the router aspect of these combos is. Anyone know how good the range/speeds are on these combo modems? I own the ARRIS 6141 but plan to get my own router here. I dont think I would want the combo personally.

I would never buy this strictly for the fact that a $100 combo kit is 8x4 channel bonding, but other than that its good.

Just a heads up arris dod not work well for me weaker security than the Motorola my isp gave me also i got DDOS'd very easily with a modem like this it was actually the upgraded version of this that also had wifi I think arris dg & some numbers just if you get make sure!!!! To turn on your DDOS protection and firewalls and stuff like that as that DDOS'd attack lasted so long that we switched out our modems and the Motorola modem has even been performing better than arris speed wise and connection stable wise

I own this same exact model, that I use with Time Warner Cable here in So Cal. It's been flawless in the year that I've had it. Great speeds, and I've been able to maximize the speed provided to me by TWC. I was hoping the other model was the one on sale, given that they just upped my speeds, and this modem does not handle the 300MB download speed. It only can handle about 120MB download speed, which is good for most everyone, but now that they've moved me to the higher speed, I want to make sure I can take advantage of it, which is why I am looking to upgrade.

But this here model is perfect and good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on it. I bought it for around $195 when it came out, so half off that is a great deal if it's something you've been looking for as far as a combo router/modem.

Is it possible to bind fixed IP addresses to certain devices. For example I don't want my printer IP address to keep changing.

Also is there a way to block certain websites ? Maybe on a schedule.

Grabbed it. My $85 Netgear Router/modem combo has been a disappointment, this looks a lot better. Hopefully I can dump off my current one and make most of the money back.

I really wanted the Nighthawk router/modem, but it's still $220, and it doesn't even have the cool antennas like the Nighthawk routers. (The DSL version does, but I don't think it works with Time Warner, and is $240+.)
