So tossed on this. I haven't been able to see these ultrawide monitors in person, is the difference between 2560x1080 and 3440x1440 huge? I'd be using this for 95% gaming. I've got a GTX 1080, so I'm not too worried about being able to drive it.

Is it worth it to nab this for $320 now, or wait for a refurbished u3415w to hit the ~$500 price range?

Kicking myself for missing the Dell Outlet deal a few days ago.

Edit: I thought this and the Amazon one were curved. Unless there's a really compelling reason to pick this over the Dell, think I'm going to hold out.

I own a 27" 1080p monitor. The pixels are huge. I suspect that the pixels are even larger on this larger monitor.

I would hold out, given that you have a 1080 card you will want the higher resolution. The 2560 x1080 on the 29inch ultrawides is great, but on the 34" it's mediocre, about the same as a 1080p on a 27" monitor.

It's not the same but I got the lg 34um95 for 500 dollars a few weeks ago new. They will fall into your price range soon enough.
