I was at target and i saw a whole bunch of the xbox one elite controllers on clearance for $105. Good dead considering they were last on here for $119. This was in store so YMMV but my location had many of these in stock.

Edit: whoops. I didn't see that it was a repackage Frown

I regret buying it for $120. not because of this price. This controller gets a lot of hype but it does not do what you would expect it to do. I expected to be able to program a combo of buttons on the back paddles. You can't. It will let you program the paddles to clone most of the buttons that are on the controller so you can keep your thumbs on the directional sticks. it's only slightly better then the regular controller. Just my opinion.

That's the whole point.. It's not like macros on a keyboard. The paddles give you an edge (you don't have to take you thumbs off the sticks to reach buttons) if you're already a decent semi-competitive player.

I'll pick one of these up when I can get it for $80 brand new. Anything more for any controller is ridiculous.

I agree. When a controller cost more than half of the systems cost with a regular controller and Kinect, that's going to far. Can you imagine an Atari 2600 joy going for $120 or a 3do joy going for $250???

you bought a controller for 120$ and clearly had no idea what it did for you... that's hilarious. would've taken you 5 minutes to figure out, it's not a cheater marco enabled controller, it's a cheaper alternative to a competitive controller.

it's always funny when you "normal" people that don't pay attention to the wide range of products available see that there's a more expensive version of something out there... guess what though, this is the cheaper of the competitive controllers Wink yup, that's right, they made a cheap alternative for people to get into competitive play...
i assume you also comment on the keyboard/mouse threads with gaming hardware that costs this much?

that said, these are absurd for the normal public playing games to buy... i don't play anywhere near what i used to 5 years ago (yeah, a house and mass amounts of animals will do that to you), so i won't be buying one of these. but i can certainly understand that for people playing competitive games... something as simple as moving your thumb from the stick costs you a death Wink and that death costs your prize money.

"repackage" means it was a return or display in some cases, but I've seen them on brand new items more often then not.

It could be a specific store or district clearing the item outside of the normal clearance markdowns. I could be completely wrong since I've never worked for target.

Just wanted to inform the uninformed about how this controller works. I'm just aggravated that I can't program the back button (also referred to as the select button) to one of the paddles. That is when I get killed or crash in GTA. Trying to bring up the interactive menu to use snacks & armor. If I could remap that one button I would be happy with this thing.

The purpose for me to buy the controller was not for the extra tabs on the back (which is useful, but I do not use them). It was for the build quality. The weight makes it feel so much nicer, and the fact that the joysticks on the controller won't have a dead area ever is big. I've had to trash so many controllers because of dead spots in my joysticks.
