Be aware of the large number of "gifted" and/ or blatant planted reviews for this item.

Others state paying $22, making this less slick than it appears.

God I hate this. Amazon really needs to do something about it. I've been fooled once before with fake reviews and now I've been very cautious about what item has good reviews.

Fakespot on this is terrible. urlhasbeenblocked appears to sell the exact same item for $32.99, I might wait for a sale on the urlhasbeenblocked model, has A on Fakespot

The slots don't even look like they'd fit most bagels. Pass.

I wish Amazon didnt mash reviews up with listing like these, you never know if they are reviewing the product you are looking at or if is for one of the other 'options' in the same listing.

Yep, more crap, more returns for Amazon.
Also, the more uncertainty, the longer people hold on to their money.
Really bad for Bezos, and shareholders.

This unit should work fine. As mentioned above, it is just a rebadge of a popular dual dock that has over 650 reviews on Amazon and an A rating on Fakespot. Whoever elected to rebadge these likely just padded up their own reviews to get on par with the other company, which, for whatever reason, SD has blocked the name of. The most important thing here is the chipset inside the dock. As long as you get an ASM1153E or similar, you should be good.

They certainly could be selling the same product but why would you trust someone who paid to receive false positive reviews to increase sales? They even basically copied the item description from the urlhasbeenblocked page.
It could be the same or just as good as the urlhasbeenblocked but that kind of behavior doesn't inspire any confidence in me that it's legit .

If you or anyone else bought this and can confirm it's a rebadge, I'm willing to overlook the fake reviews.

Their homepage (http://weme-products.com/) is a broken website from the early-2000s with no contact information. Even their Amazon seller reviews look fake. I have no confidence with this company if there's an issue with the item.

The only redeeming factor is this item is being fulfilled by Amazon. I'd be relying on Amazon to handle any issues that come up with the order.

It's a rebadge. Windows automatically installs the device as an ASM1153x, and ASMedia's firmware reporting tool recognizes the device. Device Manager (or any decent hardware reporting utility) will also clearly indicate the presence of the ASM chipset. The physical units are identical. The key differences will be the branding, packaging, and, possibly, as you mentioned, any hardware-based warranty issues that arise after your Amazon return window closes. If any of those are overly important to you, save the $10 and just get the Ina_teck version instead.

I can't tell from your language, but do you own one of these units and can confirm they're identical with the ASM1153x chipset inside? Or are you sharing your gut feeling?

Sorry, I don't mean to sound doubtful but I'm genuinely asking for hard confirmation on the chipset. I'm assuming it's possible Weme rebranded older units and might have a lesser chipset inside.

The chipset matters more (to me) than the branding. I think this is a much hotter deal once someone provides hard confirmation of the chipset.
