I was looking for a V6 motorhead and came across this DC59 instead. Not a bad deal compared to a previous deal of $185 after ebay coupon for a V6 before with an additional attachment.

V6 and DC59 are essentially the same vacuum except DC59 includes an additional mini motorize tool. You can find more detail about the difference below.

I got a refurb from rakuten. Was like new. Better than payments by $400 for the same thing.

How strong is the suction on this compared to DC34? Got an older corded Dyson that really sucks and the 34 is not that strong.

Seems like a good deal. Only $5 more than the previous FP deal, but comes with an additional attachment.

At the high setting it's got more suction than the older models, however at the regular setting they claim the same amount of suction.

Where the dc59 really makes a difference is with the motorhead attachment. It's much more powerful than the older brush heads. It picks up everything without the need to go over the same spot over and over. We rarely if ever get out the corded vacuum anymore.

We've had our for close to two years, and it was a refurb from eBay.

Thanks. I mainly use my old Dyson DC28 Animal indoor since the suction is much more powerful compared to DC34 on MAX. If the DC59 is close to DC28's suction it's definitely worth it, the 34 is good for regular cleaning but not anything tough.

Does anyone know of these are comparable to those upright vacuums?

I love using mine to suck up those bugs I don't want to touch with the hose attached.
