This is military grade and seal works great. Some people use extra rubber but I never did and never had problems with leaking.

There are several sellers on eBay with them listed at $20...there is nothing special about this deal unfortunately.

Maybe because I am in New Jersey, which is one of only 2 (maybe now the only) State with no self serve option for gasoline, but, there are very strict rules for what the gas station is allowed to put gas into, and at least here in NJ, you have to have a red plastic container with some kind of vapor valve for gasoline, a blue only for kerosene. They would not fill or allow a customer to fill a green metal can, no matter how cool it looks. Metal is a bad idea for storing or transporting gasoline anyway, and plastic containers built for that purpose are better, safer and cheaper. Keeping a metal can with 5 gallons of gasoline in your car is phenomenally stupid.

It's probably safer for me to transport and fill a metal 5 gallon can every 3 months than a new plastic 2 gallon that barely works right every 3-4 weeks.

What is it they think you are filling when you put the nozzle into your car gas tank? Many times it is a "metal can".
