I guess the adapter being UL certified is a start. That is one hefty brick.

Anyone know if this will power a Antminer U2 (takes full 2 Amps at 5V) while simultaneously supporting the USB data capability communicating back to a computer?

Multiple recent reviews about it dying after first couple months. I never trust the early reviews due to all the review scams out there so when you sort by date you see far more issues.

After looking through the Q&A's, I found the answer, which was no. I will have to pass.

--- quoting Q&A from Amazon ---

Q: In the notice: it says that the max charge is 1.6 amp, yet in the main description under bc 1.2 technology, it says up to 2.4 amp. which is correct?

A: Hello,dear customer
Please give us a chance to explain.
If you remove the data line from this item, it will become a only charging hub and it can reach 2.4A charging speed.
But if connect the data line, the max charging speed will be 1.6A.
Hope it can help you.Thanks
Regards
Alice

Did you bother to even read the other posts ? It's not even the same product now being offered.

The only "error" would be buying from these type of shady companies that purposely flip-flop products on established listing pages just so it looks like the current product they are offering has better/more reviews...than it actually does.
