I believe after watching a while, your eyes will get accustomed to the black-greyish darker scenes, and one may not even be concerned. Heard that the 3D (passive) on this TV is awesome.......all for this lower price. Amazon will even set it up for you + free shipping and no tax (most places)

I agree that it does offer a lot for the price. I've learned to live with the bleeding on my current TV. I do prefer active 3D but would be ok with passive. Unfortunately I would be taxed so thats another $100. Gonna give this some thought....

I'm fairly certain this is a mid-2015 model by the "UF" designation. It's priced to move at $1300, almost certainly being phased out by the end of this year. Has webOS 2.0 which is not current OS.

Here's the review/rating section from LG's website.

Might not be a good TV, but the deal is definitely slick. Seems like it has received good reviews from users though, maybe it all depends on receiving a good panel or not. I'm on the fence between this and spending a $150 more for the new Vizio M65-D0 (2016 version).

Thanks OP! Do you know that is the difference between Prime Mastering Engine Vs Tru-4K Engine Pro? This TV seems to have Prime Mastering Engine while the high end ones have Tru-4K Engine Pro.

This set is basically the 65UF8500 (2015 model) with HDR support. Not a bad deal, but I'm holding out for a comparable price on the current year model, the 65UH8500. (C'mon, Frys!)

No. Initially, LG said they were going to upgrade the 2015 sets to Web OS 3.0, but later backtracked.

It's not a big deal, though, as Web OS 2.0 is still outstanding. I have a 65UF8500, and Web OS is the best TV user interface ever.
