Thanks! I'm still holding out for a deal on the new for 2016 Ego 7.5AH 21" self propelled. Seems to be a cut above the echo.

These electric mowers are so light, self propelling option seems to be overkill. That exception being hilly yard!!

I have a 21" Ego not self propelled and it's so light. The SP model is heavier. Personally, unless you are sure you'll use it pretty often, I would say you are better off with the regular 21" - side note, check on Craigslist. I bought mine in Texas from a guy who bought a truck load of store displays. Paid $275 for a brand new mower, but no warranty.

Yup, definitely doesn't sound like stolen property, lol!

That's regular price for the mower without battery. Was that with a battery? Its the 7.5 hour battery that costs far more than the mower itself unfortunately, but is worth it for me as it works with all their other tools.

Regarding the Ego SP vs push, remember that some of that weight is the more powerful motor in the SP. The one you have is a smaller and lighter 600 watt motor. The SP has a heavier and more powerful 1000 watt motor, as the idea is that its a flagship that is designed to tackle bigger or thicker lawns.

Some of the other weight is that by default the pusher comes with a 4.0AH battery, whereas the SP comes with a 7.5AH batter with nearly twice the cell count.

Bigger motor + bigger battery = more weight, but the good kind. POWA!!! *makes tim allen grunting noises*

Haha I don't think they were stolen. They were all market with permanent markers. You can see some of those sort of items on eBay if you search for ego items. Mine came with the 5 amp battery. The 7.5 amp battery is a monster. I think it would be extremely awkward to use it with the other hand tools due to the weight and balance. But anyways, just check out Craigslists or eBay for deals if you are interested on ego products. So far, no issues!
