Dell has the highly rated Vizio P-Series 4K 50 inch model for a great price after gift card and free shipping. Additionally, if you sign up for their rewards program you can get an additional $50-$100 reward giftcard.

As an FYI to those not familiar with Vizio's new line, there is no TV tuner built in (hence how they call it a "display"). This will only affect you in two situations - 1: You watch over-the-air broadcasts with no seperate tuner and; 2: You watch cable tv with no seperate cable box. Number 1 can be fixed with a cheap tuner (~$30) and number 2, while extremely rare, can be fixed by ordering a cable box from your cable provider.

Great deal. I went for the 2016 65" D-Series 4k for about the same deal through Dell recently. If I had a place to use this, I'd jump on it.

Also, wish it was 3D too.

55" has an IPS panel, though.

Great deal. I went for the 2016 65" M-Series 4k for about the same deal through Dell recently. If I had a place to use this, I'd jump on it.

How much was the M series deal. Exact TV I'm looking for.

I meant to write D-series. I thought I did. Anyway, it was $1000 w/ a $300 gift card. I used the gift card towards a PS4, since I didn't have one yet.

OK. That makes sense as the M Series is just releasing and is the way to go in my opinion for 4K

If the price difference is not great, I'd take the P-Series. I settled for the D-series since I wanted to get into the 4k sets cheap and still get a 65". I've been really happy with the D-series, especially after calibrating with Disney's WOW disc.

I started with the Hitachi 55" w/ a Roku 4 from Sam's Club for either $600 or $650, but returned it to get the 2016 D-Series 65". Really happy I did. The Hitachi had a screen with white pixels similar to some of the LG screens, discussed on Rtings

Helpful info. But with TiVo + basic cable, high speed internet, Roku, Amazon Fire TV w/ Prime, Vudu, VidAngel, HBO Go, Ultraflix, Netflix, etc... I don't use a tuner for anything. All these services do add up, but I'm averaging around $120/month with high speed internet included. So, I really have no need for a tuner.

There's no tuner in any of Vizio's 2016 models. All the Google Smartcast ones at least. That's D, E, M, and P series (and possibly R too).

Very nice, found this on the Vizio site:

Introducing the all-new VIZIO SmartCast P-Series Ultra HD HDR Home Theater Display, the first 4K ultra HD display to feature High Dynamic Range with Dolby Vision, Ultra Color Spectrum, Google Cast built-in, with a powerful 6" Android Tablet Remote included.

HDR10 and Dolby Vision is a huge plus since it's still unknown which format will become the standard. There aren't many TVs that can do both right now.
