TIP: If you do have this discount, you may find it slightly cheaper to get (2) $25GCs than (1) $50GC.

Example:
$25 Target GC are discounted to 2,200 TYU pts (normally 2,500 pts) or 12% off
vs
$50 Target GC are discounted to 4500 TYU pts (normally 5,000 pts) or 10% off.

I think its for customer who combined their Thankyou rewards account with their credit card/checking account details under single login ID. Used my Thankyou rewards for Giftcards at BB for the mac air offer.bounce

I just got this email and took advantage of it.

TIP: If you do have this discount, you may find it cheaper to get (2) $25GCs than (1) $50Gc.

I found that (1) $25 Target GC was discounted to 2,200pts (normally 2,500 pts or 12% off) while the (1) $50 GC was discounted to 4500pts (normally 5,000 pts or 10% off).

.... I'm just slightly annoyed that I'm 36pts short to get the second discounted Target GC; they want $25 to buy 1K more points (2.5c/pts -- not going to happen).

yes i have savings, checking, and CC with them, so i guess that should be correct that i got this offer because i've merged it under one log in. so this discount is probably for those like me.

Looks like you have to get the email to get 10% off. Doesn't matter if you have all those accounts and merged them to one login.

I have the email and the Thank You Card. I didn't merge anything. I would like to use this deal to buy Carnival Cruise gift cards that are listed but I have no idea how. Would this be spend $900. and get a $100. card for free?

Carnival is not a listed Cruise Line on AARP. It may have been in the past.

He's actually talking about the AARP Rewards For Good program. You earn points and turn them in for discounts on GC's.
