Anyone has a good quality setup without buying expensive equipment that can convert cassette tape to audio file? What kind of items may need to buy that most people may not have for such setup?

I think going line out from tape player to line in on computer is simplest.
I have also tried this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N7F1PGS and it works well. I don't think it using USB has much of a noticeable quality improvement over line out/in connection.

If anyone else has easier/higher quality experience I'd be interested to know as well

Damn that's a good deal! AM/FM radio included? What are they giving these things away? I heard those new CD's might catch on though, might hold out for a portable version of those.

I already have a portable tape player. Can I get some kind of cable to convert my tapes to MP3 or to my computer or do I need to get this? If so, please recommend what I should get. I have the AIWA CROSS TRAINER. It has a power and phone jacks only.

Interesting! So what are those little thingies that go into that device? Portable solid state drives? Can you just load the music on them from your iTunes via USB? Thanks in advance!

Did this a long time back.. you need a PC and this cable

https://www.amazon.com/Sentey-Aud...e+in+cable

and a software.. way back i used some jukebok software or Windows media player also works..

insert that cable one end to Cassette player other end to this where i am confusing... the other end should go to either Mic or Line in of a pc ports.. ( Next to headphones slot there are two more one for line in and other for Mic).. and then open any audio encoding software.. play the cassette and select the option from the software Record from line in..its easy.. Sorry for not detailing.. dint remembered much..

Thanks..for brining those days.. back in school..
