I bought one of these from walmart on clearance for $20.

I still returned the POS.

It locked up every 10min.

If you know even a little bit about networking... Buy ubiquiti access point and router... Best quality and near 100% reliability...

If you know anything about RF and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, you'll know Budweiser is the best beer.

I had an older model I installed at my parents house some years back it worked "OK" but it their firmware is "abandon-ware" expect to never get an update, expect not to be able to use opensource firmware. so no updates / patches / security fixes for these reasons alone I would avoid them like the plague.....

100% Agree. I have changed from routers ( all DD-WRT) to a combo of router+Ubiquiti APs. Installed at my home, work and 2 of my friends. Could not be happier. I have used their basic AP, LR-AP, AC Light.

Not bad for high power router but there are far more options for ac1200 Routers in the market around $70 price range tho.

C5 is good but personal I would go with ASUS rt-ac56 since asusWRT has the most features among others.

That is twice what I paid. What features specifically do you speak of? Are those feature worth $45?
