I've always been surprised people will entrust the safety of their $600+device and all of their music/photos/videos/messages/files/etc to a $3/$5/$10 case. I agree premium cases are WAY overpriced, but they are tested and reviews are plentiful...these generics MAY work fine, but is it worth the risk versus buying an otterbox or something?

You folks that run with this on your S7 Edge are bold, I'll give ya that Smilie

there are a LOT of off brand cases that you can get for cheap and they do a great job. But, to each their own.

You criticize me for failing to offer other specific options, after knocking a widely trusted and praised protection option without and specifics reasons of your own?

Haha, classic. Get outta here.

My $5 rubber Spigen case has been awesome and saved my phone numerous times. You can have a cheap case and still get protection.

I appreciate what you're saying but I think of it differently. I'm always surprised when people pay $600 for a phone for which countless man hours have been poured into its aesthetics only to cover it up with a bulky, boxy case. It's like buying a Mercedes and driving around with a car cover on it.

Technically "free" but you pay for it in your plan one way or another.. You know that right?

Really depends on your necessity. If you're clumsy as hell or if you work at a construction site or something than an otter case is great. If you're working at a desk job and don't have stone fingers than a normal case does the job fine. You just need a case that has all around protection as well as the display. Those very slim cases that don't protect the front are useless but most TPU is perfectly fine for most people.

I don't need as much protection, so Otterbox would overkill for me. Otterbox also is very bulky which I find way too ugly for my taste, especially for something beautifully designed as the S7 Edge. I usually go for thin fit cases as long as it is covering the sides, branded or generic, I don't care. To each his own. If all else fails, I always have 3rd party insurance. I haven't filed a single claim yet.
