Those rechargeables are kind of a sucky deal relative to other deals in the past. Good product but stinky price.

Some context from the OP would have been a great addition.

Any input on the 48 pack Alkaline AA? I need some alkaline batteries but don't want to buy junk ones that burn out too quick.

You will never see prices like that again on Fujitsus most likely. Newegg is the first US company to sell retail blister packs and they ran some insane, below cost pricing in order to promote Fujitsu cells as an Eneloop alternative and move aging inventory. Prices from now on will be similar to Eneloop at $2 to $2.50 per cell on sale.

There's a seller on eBay selling a 24-Pack of Fujitsu Ni-MH Cells for $44.95, but other than that, not much comparable. Also, keep in mind that the eBay ones are not retail packaging, just bulk shrink wrap. Not sure how I feel about that, but they say they are an authorized reseller.

As for the Alkalines, these are Premium ones like Duracell Quantum, so I think the price is pretty good, if you buy multiples for the volume discount. Yeah, there have been cheap muli-pack Alkaline battery deals, but those aren't really comparable since these are for high drain devices.

That is useful perspective. Thank you. I personally will wait. If this is the new price point, there will certainly be more deals down the line.

For the AA Alkaline batteries, I will rather get this with better deal.

I ordered this one and the expire date is 2025. Also a good review can be found here too
