Interesting Review on Amazon

Requested & received the gold color version of this watch from my wife for Christmas. I am not sure where she purchased it because it was a present. I saw the add for it in a periodical where I was attracted to the seemingly impossible 2mm thin case. In the add, a picture of it shown face to back between thumb & finger illustrated a thin profile because it was held near an edge which would conceal the protruding portion in the back of my watch which is about 1/2 the diameter of the case. Bottom line, I measured with calipers about 6.5mm thick front to back in the center (includes protrusion) and tapering to about 4.7mm front to back at the edge of the watch. If I had known the true dimensions I would not have asked for it. It does seem to keep time so far, I like the face, and the appearance is of good quality but the 2mm dimension advertised is nowhere to be found except it is about the height of the protrusion (6.5mm-4.7mm)on the backside. Even the band is almost 3mm thick.

Nice way to milk off the Steinhart brand...

It's Chinese brand. A lot of Chinese watches take a name that sounds like from German, Swiss,...

yah it looks like they updated the spec to claim 5.5mm on the amazon site. groupon's specs say 3mm.

i'd trust the review over the bs manufacturer.

So would I. Also, I'm in the watch repair business. Don't bother with this watch people, please. They are junk.

The best cheap watch I've had probably is Daniel Wellington. It's a recognizable brand, not Chinese brand. (Of course it's made in China). You can find it online for around this price. I've had it for 7 months and never have had to adjust the time. Quite impressed.

As long as it has a Swiss movement I don't care if the case is made in China or in Switzerland. The only thing I care about is the movement. And just FYI a lot of more expensive "Swiss" brand purchase their watch cases from China....
