Why does the Overview tab give information for the TS140 instead of the TS440?

Can't do it..my mind has been poisoned by fellow SD'ers...I have to wait for a 1245 for (hopefully) the same price it was a year+ ago plus the additional obsolescence that comes with that time.

Is there a Kodi back end? I think you want a Plex server with Kodi (F them for the name change) front end. A Raspberry Pi does a respectable job up front, with an XBMC variant, there's one that has an awesome gui tweaked by a Russian (?) dev. The name escapes me.

Check out the ODroid; Not sure of current pricing, but a friend claims he picked one up for 60 bucks. Running Ubuntu (server I think) with Plex. 8 cores, easily handles multiple streams with no transcoding.

I have a TS140 with hard drives dangling on the bottom of the case for some years.

Do I need a Ts440 case or can I get a number of cases that I can just move everything to?

I already configured PCI raid card and flashed the developer firmware or something like that and I really don't eat to learn how to do it again . (I had to do this for direct pass-through of hard drives to my FreeNAS virtual machine for real raidz

Also what's this talk of Kodi somehow being run through plex interface?

It only comes with the backplane for 4, and you will need to buy drive caddies for each drive (around $10-$15 each).

There is space to add a second cage for more drives.

Discussion on this from reddit... [reddit.com]

I went a different route for my TS440: I added a PCIE raid controller and a quad 2.5" bay and put it in the empty 5.25" bay. I just put my SSD's and a an old laptop drive in there.

Four bay cage [tigerdirect.com]
