Just remember that this doesn't take a normal PSU, so if you want to upgrade the video card be aware.

Yes, that's correct. This is not for the people hunting for a dedicated Gaming Machine which can be upgraded easily.

If this were an Optiplex it would cost a lot more, right? What's the difference (if any) between Optiplex and this Inspiron brand? Are these not as durable or what?

Yes, the build for Optiplex is better, Optiplex is for business and Inspiron is for home users, budget system.

Should work with AMEX $50 back for $299+ purchased. Just got one, thanks OP.

Typically no. OEM licensing is now tied to hardware based identifiers.

Thanks for the reply. That's too bad, I was thinking of using the processor and video card for another build and already having an extra OS key would sweeten the deal.

Anyone have any advice on buying for mobo, cpu and ram then parting out the rest? would it be worth it? seems like a decent price for the three if the rest sells for two to three hundred.

Just spoke with a sales rep to confirm. The key is tied to a chip on the motherboard as you had mentioned, so I wouldn't be able to use it on another PC.

Been out of the computer purchasing game for awhile. Stupid question. I assume this graphic card has dual monitor support (which is critical to me). I see the back panel has vga and hdmi ports.

Talked to rep via chat. Said yes it was. Figured as much but my IT skills have slipped over the years. Maybe this will help someone else. Thanks for posting. Thought I missed the boat on this deal. Have been some other good deals but time to make the purchase and not get caught up in buyer's remorse. Onward Ho!
