Thanks. I only have a wrist one. A family member just recently had a very high blood pressure reading and I wasn't sure I could trust it. This will make me feel more confident of a high or low reading. Much appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with the wrist ones as long as you use it correctly. They are just more sensitive to positioning. The arm ones are sensitive to positioning as well. With any BP monitor, they key is learning how to use it and using it consistently every time. I have both wrist and arm ones and I get consistent reading amongst all of them.

I have this exact meter. I paid about twice as much as this 2 years ago. It's a good meter. I especially like that the cuff is not permanently attached to the meter. It makes it easier to attach the cuff then plug it into the meter.

By the way, take the hypertension classification with a huge grain of salt. It's calibrated for young people. Many people, and even some doctors, don't realize that BP changes with age. They only stick with the 120/80 reference. That's for a young adult. The norm changes with age. Generally the systolic rises and the diastolic falls. For someone over 65, it'll say that 150/60 is a problem when in reality it's not.
